PROJECT EXPERIENCE AT SALUS TRAFFIC
TRAFFIC CONTROL FOR INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION
Major infrastructure projects such as LRT corridors, highway expansions, interchange rebuilds, and arterial reconstructions involve multiple staging phases and long project timelines. Salus Traffic provides the flagging crews, lane closures, supervisory presence, and updated Book 7 plans needed through each phase. We coordinate with prime contractors, engineers of record, municipal staff, and MTO inspectors so that every staging change is executed cleanly. Our teams have supported projects involving bridge work, utility relocations, grading and paving, and permanent traffic control installations as construction hands back to operations. Consistency of personnel across the project life is something clients repeatedly tell us matters, because a new crew every week cannot match the efficiency of a team that has learned the site.
Pavement Markings During Active Works
Construction projects do not stop generating traffic while they are being built. Temporary lane markings, shifted centre lines, contraflow configurations, and detour guidance all need to be marked clearly and updated as staging changes. Salus Traffic has delivered pavement markings during active construction on arterial widenings, freeway resurfacings, downtown streetscapes, and subdivision builds. We schedule marking work around paving and milling operations, apply temporary markings that release traffic onto fresh surfaces quickly, and return for permanent markings once the project is ready.
Sign Installation and Traffic Device Deployment
Signs and devices are part of almost every project we support. Our crews have installed regulatory sign packages for new subdivisions, construction sign layouts for road reconstruction programs, permanent signage for completed infrastructure projects, and temporary device packages for short-duration work zones. We have deployed arrow boards, variable message signs, portable traffic signals, barricades, and full cone and drum layouts on projects across the GTA and beyond.
FREEWAY AND NIGHT OPERATIONS
Freeway work and night operations demand higher equipment standards and more experienced crews. Salus Traffic has handled overnight resurfacing on 400-series highways, ramp closures, median work, and multi-night shutdowns for maintenance and repairs. Our crash trucks, arrow boards, and variable message signs are deployed according to the freeway layouts in Book 7, and our night crews are trained on the lighting, visibility, and communication standards required after dark.
